Kentucky Educational Television, (KET) has the following full-time position opening at its Lexington, Kentucky Network Center:
Used by more than two million people each week, KET is Kentucky’s only statewide media organization, and broadcasts into 8 states and 10 media markets, along with providing live and archived streaming services. In addition to offering high-quality PBS programming, KET annually produces hundreds of hours of award-winning local productions and creates nationally recognized educational resources.
This is a unique opportunity to work with an outstanding, respected, and trusted public media team, and to support a wide variety of public affairs and general productions, including Kentucky’s only nightly statewide news program, six locally produced series, and ongoing special programs.
As the Membership Coordinator-Gift Processing for the Commonwealth Fund for KET, you will fulfill the day-to-day processing of annual donations to KET and other financial requirements and provide excellent customer service to donors.

Our ideal Candidate will:
Record all donations into the fundraising database including checks, credit cards, online gifts, automatic monthly donations plus corporate and foundation grants.
Maintain up-to-date credit card and electronic account information for new or converting monthly sustaining donors. Facilitate credit card reject notices for all donors including sustainers in coordination with the Sustainer Coordinator.
Secure and hold confidential all donor data and personally identifiable information to the greatest extent required by Kentucky law and KET’s Donor Privacy Policy.
Serve as the primary point of contact for banking centers, credit processors and other financial partners.
Work closely with the KET Business Office to provide all reports and documentation needed for month end close, and auditors for year-end financial statements.
Research and resolve all donor financial issues as needed.
Assist with donor communications and stewardship, and other customer service duties.
Serve as a backup to staff responsible for front-line customer service.
Assist with the Commonwealth Fund for KET events statewide, including on-air fundraising drives, gala fundraisers, premieres, and family activities.
Assist all Commonwealth Fund for KET staff and volunteers with database and technical support as needed.
Successful applicants will have the following minimum qualifications, skills, and experience:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, marketing, arts administration, or related field and/or equivalent combination of education and qualifications preferred.
Experience in accounting, database management, customer service and/or non-profit fundraising.
Must be reliable, highly organized, able to perform multiple tasks with accuracy and attention to detail.
Demonstrates numeracy, written, verbal and interpersonal skills; professionalism; a strong work ethic; good judgement and the ability to ensure confidentiality of sensitive manners.
Proven computer proficiency and database management skills, including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and excel.
A team player who is self-motivated and can also work autonomously.
Ability to occasionally work nights and weekends, and travel statewide.
