Kentucky Educational Television, (KET) has the following full-time position opening at its Lexington, Kentucky Network Center:
Used by more than two million people each week, KET is Kentucky’s only statewide media organization, and broadcasts into 8 states and 10 media markets, along with providing live and archived streaming services. In addition to offering high-quality PBS programming, KET annually produces hundreds of hours of award-winning local productions and creates nationally recognized educational resources.
This is a unique opportunity to work with an outstanding, respected, and trusted public media team, and to support a wide variety of public affairs and general productions, including Kentucky’s only nightly statewide news program, six locally produced series, and ongoing special programs.
As the Membership Coordinator-Stewardship for the Commonwealth Fund for KET, you will provide effective costumer service to KET donors and prospective members to build trust, strengthen relationships and inspire long term support.

Our ideal Candidate will:
Deliver timely, positive and responsive customer service as the first point of contact for all donor inquiries. This includes answering the Membership phone line and replying to all voicemails and correspondence by phone, mail or email.
Ensure all donor interactions are recorded, up-to-date and accurately reflected by updating database management system and providing customized queries, reports and analytics.
Process deposits for all in-house check donations.
Write and facilitate mail merges for all gift acknowledgements and pledge reminders/bills.
Manage fulfillment of donor benefits: Visions magazine, KET Passport, KET Membercard. This includes list segmentation and maintenance, donor mailings, on-air acknowledgements, hands-on instruction, troubleshooting technical and mail issues, inter-departmental coordination, reports and analysis.
Responsible for KET’s Family Fun Club, including the solicitation and stewardship of new and renewing donors, identification and solicitation of corporate sponsorships (in conjunction with the corporate team), logistics for Family Fun Club events and support for other community events as needed.
Assist with the Commonwealth Fund for KET events statewide, including on-air fundraising drives, gala fundraisers, premieres and family activities.
Assist all Commonwealth Fund for KET staff and volunteers with database and technical support as needed.
Successful applicants will have the following minimum qualifications, skills, and experience:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, arts administration, business or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience preferred.
Must have excellent writing, verbal and interpersonal skills, and demonstrate professionalism, poise, a strong work ethic, good judgement and the ability to ensure confidentiality of sensitive matters.
Proven computer proficiency and database management skills, including Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.
Experience in customer service and/or non-profit fundraising preferred.
Ability to occasionally work nights and weekends, and travel statewide.
