Marketing & Insights Strategist

As the Marketing & Insights Strategist, the individual selected for this role will increase viewership, use, and support for KET programs and services through digital marketing, CRM, traditional marketing, advertising and communications tactics driven by data collection and insights reporting.


Our ideal Candidate will:

Under the direction of the Director of Marketing & Analytics, develop and coordinate marketing plans to target viewers, learners, teachers, administrators, parents and more to advance KET’s mission through lead generation digital and traditional advertising and audience segmentation. 

Develop tactical plans, timelines, budget, campaign creative and delivery channels. Use project management tools like Monday.com to manage workflows, deadlines and collaborations. Track and report progress towards shared engagement and conversion goals. Ensure integrated approaches across channels, products and programs and alignment with overall agency brand messaging and marketing goals.

Report on all segments of the KET’s audience including acquisition, activation and consumption. Collaborate with cross-divisional teams to align strategies and share insights that drive cohesive marketing initiatives. Work to manage database growth, monitor web traffic and social media platform growth and engagement and generate monthly video streaming reports. Manage web analytics and reports, working alongside the Technology division.

Leverage tools like Google Analytics or other analytics platforms to track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), analyze campaign success and identify opportunities for optimization. Utilize CRM systems and strategies including inbound, direct email/mail, segmentation, personalization, marketing automation, SEO, SEM, and other CRM tactics.  Serve as agency point of contact for Salesforce and Pardot administration, including user management, training, renewals, etc.

Ensure accuracy and security of data, and compliance with state and national laws, including the CAN-SPAM Act, the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act and related user and student privacy/data law and regulation.

Effectively collaborate with team members by sharing skills, knowledge, and processes. Seek and participate in applicable training opportunities.

Demonstrate dedication to diversity in areas of responsibility and instill the same dedication in staff.


Successful applicants will have the following minimum qualifications, skills, and experience:

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism or a related discipline; and five plus (5+) years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience is preferred.

Experience with CRM campaign execution, Salesforce preferred, with exceptional marketing skills and a proven record of quantifiably successful digital marketing, email and advertising campaigns.

Proficient in email marketing systems, social media platforms, and Microsoft Office.

Demonstrated ability to collaborate and partner internally to identify, prioritize and deliver on marketing initiatives.

Public broadcasting and/or education marketing experience preferred.

Must maintain a valid driver’s license to drive KET vehicles.
