Manager/Supervisor
Kentucky Educational Television, (KET) has the following full-time position opening at its Lexington, Kentucky Network Center:
Used by more than two million people each week, KET is Kentucky’s only statewide media organization, and broadcasts into 8 states and 10 media markets, along with providing live and archived streaming services. In addition to offering high-quality PBS programming, KET annually produces hundreds of hours of award-winning local productions and creates nationally recognized educational resources.
This is a unique opportunity to work with an outstanding, respected, and trusted public media team, and to support a wide variety of public affairs and general productions, including Kentucky’s only nightly statewide news program, six locally produced series, and ongoing special programs. As the Digital Content Manager, you will lead the efforts to produce and deliver high quality digital to create sustained audience growth and consumption of programs and resources.

Our ideal Candidate will:
Work with the Director of Marketing and Analytics to develop, execute and evolve data-driven short-form digital content strategy that aligns with KET’s mission, audience insights and platform best practices and best serve agency goals (viewership growth, content discoverability, support).
Contribute to evolving strategy for placement of KET content (long-form and short-form) on digital platforms.
Research and implement emerging trends and best practices in digital media and audience engagement; identify content gaps, utilize data and insights to inform content strategy to fill the gaps.
Oversee the planning, execution and distribution of digital-first or digital exclusive content by managing internal workflows and collaboration with different departments to execute digital projects.
Create and maintain a content calendar, working closely across departments, especially with Marketing, Education and Production teams.
Analyze and report on key digital performance metrics, using insights to refine content strategy, audience engagement and distribution effectiveness.
Collaborate with graphic designers, producers, and marketing teams to develop engaging, platform-optimized multimedia content.
Assist with broader digital content projects and other Marketing functions as needed.
Coordinate with other managers and members of the Marketing Division to plan special projects and initiatives as necessary based on Marketing priorities.
Successful applicants will have the following minimum qualifications, skills, and experience:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, media or a related discipline; and four (4) or more years of related professional experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience is preferred.
Previous experience in a supervisory or project lead role.
Demonstrated strategic and planning skills related to multiplatform programming.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage media priorities, timelines and deadlines.
Ability to professionally edit video in a timely and efficient manner, a plus.
Thorough understanding of digital content marketing and experience with various distribution platforms.
Public broadcasting and/or education marketing experience preferred.
